About Us

Our history

Although our nonprofit snowboarding brand is for everyone, it also represents those whose journey to the slopes wasn’t traditional.

Let’s be real, most of us didn’t grow up in mountain towns. It took drive, creativity, and a little grit just to get here. Some of us were first-generation riders, chasing a passion our families didn’t quite understand. Spent hours on the road, faced biting winds, and pushed through the cold all for the love of snow.

So from the Southside to the slopes we’ve made it!

Southside Boarding Club's vision is to introduce underserved youth to snow sports by providing access to local ski resorts, basic instruction in snowboarding, and opportunities that encourage personal growth, confidence, and a lifelong love of the outdoors. We do this by way of introducing youth to financial literacy while providing opportunities for kids to have access to local ski resorts.

This is what it's all about. Giving 14 phenomenal young ladies exposure to an environment they may not otherwise had a chance to be in.

Let's be honest most of us didn't grow up in ski towns so it took some effort on our part to even be here. Some of us were first generational riders who pursued the sport even when our families didn't understand our reasoning or our why. Spent hours in the car, braved harsh winter conditions all just to touch some snow.

Well from Southside to the slopes we've made it.
